CONTAINER TERMINAL OPERATOR
Are you the man or woman we’re looking for ???
Our Container Terminal is responsible for moving export and import containers (full and empty) through the Port; loading and unloading containers from vessel, road and rail; and stacking and unstacking containers in the container terminal.
Over the past year, we have experienced a 25% growth in container cargo volumes – this is a fantastic result for both our company and the region as a whole!
To help cope with the increased workload, we are now recruiting for an additional operator to join our established team.
This position has a lot of variety and includes operating our fleet of heavy forklifts, crane operations and other container terminal-related activities, as well as on-ground support to ensure that containers are clean, fit for purpose and available for use. The Terminal typically operates Monday to Friday, but some nights and weekends may be required depending on vessel calls and workload (guaranteed 40 hours per week).
We’re looking for a skilled and experienced forklift driver, who’s committed to safety, has a positive attitude and is not afraid of hard work. Heavy machinery experience is an advantage, however we will invest in training for the right person.
The Port industry has historically been male-dominated, but we encourage applications from women who want to join our successful and go ahead company.
If you think you have what it takes, then we want to hear from you!
