South Port provides Southland’s largest storage facility, servicing a range of industries and goods.
Storage can be provided to meet temporary requirements or can be leased on a more permanent basis to provide a base for company operations.
South Port provides dry warehousing for a range of industries including dairy, forestry, stock feed and general cargo. There is 32,200m2 of dry storage capacity on the Island Harbour with road & toplifter access.
South Port owns and operates three cold stores, providing storage for up to 11,000 tonnes of chilled and frozen product. All stores have covered load in and load out facilities, and Risk Management Programme (RMP) to meet MPI regulations.
South Port provides open storage for logs, containers, woodchips, sawn timber, steel and more. The port has approximately 7 hectares (20 acres) of vacant land within the Island Harbour and foreshore areas currently available for utilisation.
In addition to cold storage, South Port has three blast freezers of 720 carton capacity each.
